We dedicate this brief supplement to item 100181, as it differs from the others due to some modifications in construction and operation necessitated by its different intended use.

On the sides of the cylinder unit, two brass tubes are mounted, sealed by a hexagonal aluminum cap. They contain a piston and a spring with a specific load and size. The double-acting cylinder features oil inlet through the two aforementioned caps directly on the two extensions, rather than at the top as previously, eliminating the two oil flow control valves. The hydraulic action pushes the piston to a mechanical limit stop, compressing the spring, which is in direct contact with the rotational movement. With this solution, we can apply a measured amount of rotary force to the Garda unit pin, causing the main gear wheel to move, which can easily engage without forcing, thus protecting the integrity of the teeth.

Another difference concerns the anchoring. The Garda cylinder uses a single bracket, which has fastening slots designed to follow the shape of the pump, naturally offering a wide range of adjustment for finding the ideal position. A dedicated bracket is also available for the Ledra group and one for the Garda-Evo group.

The connecting joint has also changed. In fact, it is no longer necessary to remove the manual lever of the Garda group; the connection is made via two stainless steel pins screwed onto a flange, which is connected to the cylinder pinion like the other joints. Simply drill two holes in the lever and insert the new joint.

The Garda-Evo group joint adds a new flange to the previous one. It is equipped with two slots that serve to align the center of the group’s movement with the center of the rotary cylinder, thus making the thrust on the gear more effective. Furthermore, the group selector already has the holes for the stainless steel pins.
